Dr Donald MacGeachy

BSC MBChB DRACOG

After graduating from Edinburgh University in 1982, Donald spent a year working in cardiology and plastic surgery in Scotland.


Immigrating to Australia in 1983, he spent four years working at Rockhampton Base Hospital.


A resident of Tugun since 1986, his special interests include bio-identical hormones, anti-ageing medicine and skin cancer surgery.

Dr Jeffrey Pitman

MBBS QLD FRACGP

Jeffrey graduated from the University of Queensland and was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 1995.


He has many years of experience in hospitals and urban General Practice.

Dr Ben Buxton

B Rad MBBS FRACGP

Ben has recently joined Tugun Family Medicine. He graduated from Sydney University in 2013. and is experienced in all aspects of General Practice. He has a keen interest in mens health and sports medicine.

Dr Nadine Canning

MBBS QLD, FRACGP

Nadine graduated as a doctor from Griffith University in 2010 joining Tugun Family Medicine in 2015 as a GP Registrar.


She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2016 and enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a keen interest in womens health.

Dr Ross Stinton

MBBS BSc. QLD

Ross graduated from the University of Queensland in 1975. He moved from Beenleigh to join Tugun Family Medicine in August 2014. Prior to this, he owned and operated his own General Practice in Beenleigh for 30 years.


He is experienced in all aspects of General Practice and works 3 days a week at Tugun Family Medicine.


He is a champion longboard surfer and enjoys getting out on the waves when he is not working in his capacity as a doctor.

Dr Samantha Tiley

BMSc MBBS QLD, FRACGP

Samantha joined Tugun Family Medicine in January 2018 as a GP Registrar. She graduated from Griffith University in 2013 and was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2019 and enjoys all aspects of General Practice with a strong interest in womens and childrens health.

Dr Madde Bowshire

BSc MD

Madde recently joined Tugun Family Medicine as a GP Registrar.


He graduated from the University of Qld in 2019 and enjoys all aspects of general practice.

Doctor Fees

  • All consultations attract a private fee
  • Refundable amount attracted at any Medicare office or after consultation electronically through our surgery
  • Reduced fee for children (14 and under), pensioner and healthcare cardholders—must be updated at the time of consultation
  • Home visits attract a private fee—except under certain circumstances (regular visits, etc.)
  • Payment appreciated at time of consultation
  • MasterCard, Visa, EFTPOS, cheque, cash are accepted
  • All fee details can be obtainable on the notice wall behind the reception desk or upon request
