After graduating from Edinburgh University in 1982, Donald spent a year working in cardiology and plastic surgery in Scotland.


Immigrating to Australia in 1983, he spent four years working at Rockhampton Base Hospital.


A resident of Tugun since 1986, his special interests include bio-identical hormones, anti-ageing medicine and skin cancer surgery.

Samantha graduated from Griffith University in 2013 and began practicing from Tugun Family Medicine in 2018 as a GP Registrar.

Dr Mark Friel graduated as a doctor from Griffith University in 2009. He has since become a Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and completed additional training with extended skills in ENT, Masters in Perioperative Medicine through Monash University and the Diploma of Child Health through Sydney University.

Dr Evans has had 40 years experience as a General Practitioner and has a keen interest in Womens Health and female menopause.

  • All consultations attract a private fee
  • All practitioners are independent contractors and set their own fees
  • Refundable amount attracted at any Medicare office or after consultation electronically through our surgery
  • Reduced fee for children (14 and under), pensioner and healthcare cardholders—must be updated at the time of consultation
  • Home visits attract a private fee—except under certain circumstances (regular visits, etc.)
  • Payment appreciated at time of consultation
  • MasterCard, Visa, EFTPOS, cheque, cash are accepted
